Are you happy? Is America? Can we be happy again?

MC Cullah is not affiliated with me, does not endorse me or my opinions, and likely is not aware that I exist. But because his music is so freakin' cool, and because he provided a Creative Commons license, I think you should go download his songs. I have.

Who are your heroes? Do you have any? Or have we lost our heroes? Is that why we’re so willing to slap a label on just about anyone who is famous and agrees with our agenda?

When did “merit” become a four-letter word? Kia celebrates hard-won success in its latest commercial, while MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry denigrates “hard work” as a slur against those born without “relative privilege”. Who’s right? Is it bad to base success on merit?

Have we lost our way? If so, how did we lose it? And most importantly, how do we get it back?

I think the answer lies in the mass effects of our personal neuroses: a national insecurity crisis. On this, the first podcast of the Kristina Cook Show, I explain what I mean by that and why I think it’s so important.

NO ONE is safe from the thought police. Matt Damon (yes, that “Maaatt Daaaaamon” - and you know you just said it in your head with me) has come under fire for - *gasp* - speaking the truth about being gay in Hollywood. Apparently, he went off script, literally. And apparently, he can’t speak about being gay in Hollywood, because he isn’t. (And Ellen DeGeneres can’t speak about being gay in Hollywood, because she is. Figure out THAT logic.)

How do we fight against a politically correct hydra that calls out “MICROAGGRESSION!” every time someone - even someone on the left - opens his mouth?

You know, we conservatives are good at many things. Truly. Okay - you can stop laughing now, we really are. But telling the story about why our values and principles really are “cool” just isn't one of them. We have victories sometimes in this area, and we just demonstrated one here in Colorado. Now how can we take the lessons we’ve learned from this victory and apply them to our mission of saving our Republic?

Americans have a generous spirit. We are moved by pictures and stories of people suffering, no matter where they are. But if welcoming in the Syrian refugees means welcoming in hundreds if not thousands of ISIS jihadis, is our generosity sowing the seeds for our own destruction? I believe that #AmericanLivesMatter. Time for us to look to our own survival.

I honestly thought up until yesterday that Walker was the Establishment’s choice for the Republican nomination. Apparently, I was wrong. It happens. So now what is going to happen between now and the nomination next July? And how much effect can you have on that?

Was Ben Carson out of line this Sunday when he said "If it is inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter?” Or was he right on the money?

Warning - this is NOT a politically correct podcast!

Two websites you should become familiar with. First, Frank Gaffney’s series on the Muslim Brotherhood in America: https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/the-muslim-brotherhood-in-america/

Second, John Guandolo’s website “Understanding the Threat”: https://www.understandingthethreat.com/

Another listener question: how do you make sure your arguments are sound and not vulnerable to attacks from the other side? I thought this subject was particularly timely, and yet timeless, and it touches on the key mission of this podcast - to equip you to have these conversations and persuade others to the conservative viewpoint.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
